Customized OP Sheets. Since the setup information is a user-definable parameter, you can easily define your own setup sheets with SMP. The setup is written in simple programming language where variables are assigned, information can be entered, and mathematical calculations can be made. Operations are performed in the same order as common to hand calculators. For example, you can change the run time to minutes instead of hours, minutes and seconds.
Default Settings. The operation sheet has many predefined variables containing important information from the formed part model. However, the sheet can be tailored to contain specific operating information such as blank size, thickness and material type. You can reference the trim size, the border size, and the number of parts in a specific run.
Specific Instructions. SMP will also indicate the operation number, which machine the job is to be run on, and the job name. The setup information can also be added to the beginning of the program file if you have one of the more recent machine controls.
View Tooling Information. Tooling information can also be accessed through the Operation Sheet file. The Operation Sheet contains a list of the tools necessary for a particular run, the station identification numbers, and load angle for the tools.
Track Run Time. The program allows you to track specific information such as the total number of hits for a particular tool and the total number of hits for each job. You can output the projected run times as well as the total amount of distance that your machine is traveling.
