Quickly generate contour cycles for laser, plasma, waterjet and wire EDM machines manually or automatically!

AutoLaser

Intelligent Program
The program will evaluate the part to be programmed and automatically look at the settings you have selected. AutoLaser will then, within seconds, perform the contour cycle for all of the holes, cutouts, and edges.

Saves Time
The part program is then displayed to the programmer, who may alter it if desired, or simply grid the program on a sheet and have the SMP/IS software output the machine-specific NC data file. Either way, the result is less programming work for the NC programmer, allowing for concentration on special applications.

Speeds Production
With AutoLaser, the lead-in and tabs on the part can be changed with the touch of a button. This greatly speeds the production of NC programs and parts can be produced more quickly, more accurately, more economically.

Maximizes Machine Performance
While in AutoLaser, the NC programmer may add or remove tabs or alter the laser sequence without affecting other aspects of the part program.

Increases Productivity
Using AutoLaser increases productivity by eliminating routine NC programming time, providing easier methods for modifications, and making more time available for part design and production.

Manual Laser

For those who want total control of how their parts are contoured there is Manual Laser. Contour an entire internal or external edge or just a segment. Pick features to etch. Cut the part exactly how you want quickly and easily!

Optimal Laser

The Optimal Laser feature is designed to produce a laser path that will not cross a hole, internal cutout, or part that has already been cut. This eliminates the possibility of a head crash caused by the head running into a part that has been cut and has tilted up, or by the head dropping into a hole that has fallen out. This is a problem on machines that have automatic focus functions or plasma machines that have automatic ground search.

Optimal Laser will create the shortest sequence between holes and cutouts in a part, and the shortest sequence between parts in a nest. It will also change the ignite points and lead in on each part to line up with the path between the parts. Manual dummy moves or an automatic head raise can be added to avoid problem areas.
