2D CAD is a powerful, user-friendly, drawing package that allows users to quickly and accurately create and edit parts. 2D offers all the necessary features for intelligent CAD drawing including points, lines, arcs, holes, single entity picks or polygoning around an area, delta moves, etc. Functionality includes the ability to import 2D .dxf and .igs files from other drawing packages, export CAD files, design special tools and generate hole patterns. This package also contains powerful tools such as Cleanup, CurveFit and Trim/Extend functions to correct Geometry. Onscreen icons make the most common drawing and editing features a snap. A single click transforms a square corner to a chamfer, radius or notch. Functions for verifying and ensuring accuracy are integrated throughout for a “do it right the first time” approach. SMP analyzes all part entities from imported CAD files, and automatically detects the geometry of special tools from a predefined list. And of course, in all of our graphical interfaces plotting is available. Overall, 2D is one of the most beneficial areas in our software.
